The Fast and Furious 7 is a 2015 American action film. It is the seventh installment in The Fast and the Furious franchise and it is written by Chris Morgan and directed by James Wan. Film production took place from September to December 2013 in Atlanta, Abu Dhabi, Cuba, South Africa, Tokyo and Los Angeles. The film stars Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs, Paul Walker as Brian O'Conner with Jordana Brewster replacing Michelle Rodriguez. Eighteen months after escaping from captivity, Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker) continues working as a driver for Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) while his family is living with his mother's sister Theres (Monica Bellucci) in Italy . O'Connor is approached by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), under Detective Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) with a plan to steal $100 million in cartel narcotics and bring it back to the U.S., so they can seize it. The plan includes Toretto stealing the drugs and O'Connor delivering them in a safe deposit box and getting away without being caught by Hobbs and his team, including an undercover officer named Owen Shaw (Luke Evans). However, when O'Connor fails to show up for their meeting, Hobbs looks into his background and discovers that he is Toretto's brother Brian. Hobbs's investigation of Toretto eventually leads him to the real Brian O'Connor, who is arrested by Hobbs. However, it turns out that O'Connor had been working with Dominic, so he had him smuggled out of jail. The two of them are able to escape Los Angeles during the middle of the night. The pair start an uneasy alliance to get money for O'Connor's family. Toretto gets a job through his mother's former boyfriend Phil (Matt Shively), who owns a sporting goods store in Florida . Toretto and O'Connor eventually find Shaw at a German stock car race in Berlin, where he has been building a device that can disable the security system of racing cars. Shaw flees and his gang is arrested by Hobbs and his team. O'Connor and Toretto's old friend, Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson), arrives at Toretto's safe house to warn them that they are being followed.
