Chaar Sahibzaade is a 2015 Punjabi film directed by Harry Bhatti. The movie is about the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh who sacrificed their lives for their father's ideals on December 23, 1705 in what came to be known as Shikharji. The name 'Chaar Sahibzaade' is derived from the names of four sons: Ajit Singh, Jujhar Singh, Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh. They fought Mughal emperor Aurangzeb at Nadaun near Chakrata in Himachal Pradesh. This film revolves around this battle with some dramatizations of events leading up to the battle. The film is based on the book "Chaar Sahibzaade - The Battle of Shikharji" written by Mr. Gurdial Singh Sarna. The book tells the story of how Guru Gobind Singh's four sons did not hesitate to lay down their lives for their father's ideology. The film was shot in the forests of Kasol, Manali, Rohtang Pass and other places in Himachal Pradesh.
